Resource Library Hours
Monday - Friday:
8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Evenings:
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
6:45 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.
Saturdays:
2nd & 4th Saturdays of each month
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Resource Center
On-site equipment is available for provider use including computer with internet access, color printer, laser printer, scanner, laminator, copier, fax, Ellison die cut, and book binder along with office supplies.  Curriculum materials such as themed activity kits, dolls with adaptive equipment, multicultural instruments, science kits, literature kits, etc. are available for loan.  Resource materials focused on a variety of issues to increase provider knowledge such as child development, business skills, appropriate activities, family issues, quality indicators and much more.
 
Home Visits / Consultations
Staff assists individual providers through home visits and in-office consultation addressing such issues as:
  • marketing strategies
  • business skill development
  • program quality enhancement
  • environment design
Support Groups / Professional Organization Meetings
PTRAC also serves as a preferred meeting site for local child care organizations and support groups.  These groups include the Bright Horizons Directors, Fuerza en Diversidad, Tamien Neighborhood Association, Child Care Network, Club de la Buena Estrella, Santa Clara County Child Care Health Consortium, and several other groups. 
 
Training
Professional development activities such as workshops, classes or trainings are available through PTRAC.  The majority of these training opportunities are conducted in both English and Spanish.  Please call or see calendar for upcoming offerings.
 
Early Childhood Education Classes
Community College ECE and ESL classes are offered on site at PTRAC.  Please call or see calendar for upcoming class offerings.

Conferences
PTRAC collaborates with several local agencies, such as Smart Start San José, Mujer a Mujer, Inc., Fuerza en Diversidad, and the Santa Clara Co. Child Care Health Consortium to present yearly conferences.

15 Hours of Health & Safety Training
PTRAC offers Health & Safety Training including first aid and CPR certification classes in English and Spanish as required by state licensing.  
 
Children learningHomework Support
Each semester PTRAC makes the training room available once a week to PTRAC members who are taking college level courses to come in and work on their homework assignments.  PTRAC staff is available to assist if needed.  Partipants can also use the equipment and resources in the library, such as computers, laminator, and curriculum books.

  • Individual Child Care Provider    $30
    (only individual who purchased membership can use card)

    (six membership cards/any staff member can use membership card)
